Episode 2 opens with Lucky’s screams as she asks her neighbors to stay away from her home after their dog has been killed. The episode then flits to North Carolina, 1946 — Lucky wakes up Henry — he’s shaken, so she feeds him. He seems confused, and Lucky talks about a potential job opening, but for Henry, everything zones out. Episode 1 highlights how immediately difficult it is for the Emory family to go about their daily routine.

Nowadays, the mother of one (she has a sweet daughter named Madeline) has pivoted to copywriting and content strategy for brands such as American Express, Celsius, Nectar, and Nutrafol. Today, Ashley and her husband Brad McAtee still live in California. She owns a clothing store, Uptown Cheapskate, in the city of Carlsbad.

Suddenly, Lucky sees something right in front of her, and she storms upstairs with Gracie. Lucky tells her she felt it, but not to tell her father about it. Henry heads to his new job, and the receptionist assumes he’s a kitchen worker. He has to ask for the engineering department three times before he’s finally heard.

A woman states it has nothing to do with the work of Christians but the work with black magic. As Henry reads a paper, a male neighbor walks in and hits him with a baseball bat. He tells the two men to deal with him, not his children. They take his children away, and Henry continues to be interrogated.

Park is his only employee, and House must convince Adams and other doctors to donate their services to help him. Returning characters for this season include House's wife, Dominika Petrova, his favourite prostitute, Emily, and almost all the main/guest characters that left the show. The eighth and final season of House premiered on October 3, 2011 and ended on May 21, 2012.

“I sat down with Kyle for two-hour long drinks and just really talked through everything. I think he’s probably f–ked up everything that you could possible f–k up at least once,” he says with a laugh about his pal. Jesse gives more insight as to how he got cast on the show, too.

Lucky decides to visit her friends, acquaintances, and family to have a break from her new neighborhood. She tells them that she feels welcome around family and requests they visit her in Compton as it’s close. One of the members brings up a black family who had a terrible time in that area of Compton. As she looks around, Gracie asks her mother if she can see Miss Vera and says she can smell her.

Meanwhile, a few of the neighbors learn that a police officer has been shot dead. The community is anxious — Betty is missing, and nothing feels right. Officer John asks Henry if he knows anything about Betty. The Da Tap Dance Man smiles at Henry as he says that “bad things happen” and that he doesn’t want to spread rumors. The police officer says he will talk to his wife instead.

The two men head off on motorcycles to enjoy the rest of Wilson's life and House's death. House gets the money to re-fund his department by pawning a piece of hospital equipment to bet on the market. He also helps Park avoid getting fired for hitting her previous boss. Chase eagerly returns, and even Taub prefers the excitement of saving lives to the routine of fixing noses. However, House initially tries to reconnect with Thirteen, he finally sends her off with her girlfriend to live in Greece. House is put on a short leash, and the hospital lacks the funding to provide him with a proper team.

The longer she sings, the more the black woman is irked. The black woman asks her to leave as her husband will be back soon. George makes dinner for Betty, and he serves her a drink.

Lucky tells her she would never hurt her, so Ruby drops the shard of glass. The young boy warns the priest about some travelers who have broken down on the road. When they go to meet the travelers, it’s a black couple. Some of the white people cannot stop looking at them. One of the locals explains that black people have torn the country in two, evidently referencing the Civil War.
